Marc Cronje

Birding & Nature Specialist Guide

Marc Cronje was born and raised in South Africa. His keen interest in Wildlife and Birding comes from being brought up in the Johannesburg Zoo where his father was the curator of Primates and small cats. He often jokes and says he has been let out of his cage for the tours, and you will find he certainly is a great laugh to be around with.

With a Degree in Nature Conservation, on top of being a CATHSSETA/FGASA Level 2 Guide who sits on the Birdlife Lowveld Committee, his knowledge about nature is admirable. He has been a keen bird watcher for just over 3 years and has seen over 450 birds in the Kruger National Park and has a bird list of just over 600 in Southern Africa.

As a keen wildlife photographer & guide, he enjoys sharing his passion for birding & wildlife with all who come to marvel at his wonderful office in Nature. Being actively involved in research projects, he is continually adding data to the Second Southern African Bird Atlas project and is also involved in the monitoring of Wild dogs within the Kruger National Park.

“I look forward to seeing you on your next birding and wildlife safari & hope that I will
show you a side of nature that will leave you with a renewed sense of appreciation for the bush”
